Bristol site managers win regional quality awards

Three site managers working for Barratt Homes in Bristol have picked up top regional awards in this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.

Bob Burgess who is senior project manager with Barratt was awarded a Seal of Excellence and picked up the top regional award for multi-storey developments for his work at ND10@TheZone.

There were also Seal of Excellence Awards for Ben Tottle for his work at Charlton Hayes in Bristol and for Paul Cromey who is based at Phoenix in Bridgwater.

Barratt Bristol managing director Richard Gregory said he was thrilled with the success of the site managers. “We have a long tradition of producing top quality and award winning site managers and to win these awards is tremendous recognition for their efforts.’’

He said the awards demonstrate that Barratt’s construction teams continue to lead the industry.

“Site managers play a pivotal role in delivering high quality new homes and these regional awards demonstrate their dedication and commitment to building new homes of the very highest standard.’’

The Pride in the Job awards are the most coveted in the industry. They are awarded after the construction standard setting body NHBC (National House-Building Council) carries out a series of spot check site inspections to select the best-organised and best-quality developments.

Almost 15,000 site managers throughout the UK were judged on every aspect of their job, including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety.
