Filmore & Union invest £200k in eighth restaurant in Skipton creating 25 jobs

Yorkshire healthy eating cafe chain Filmore & Union has opened its eighth restaurant in Skipton, investing £200k in the new site which will create 25 local jobs.

The family-run firm opened its first site in York in 2012, and will be opening a 3 floor restaurant on Skipton high street across from the council HQ

The Skipton restaurant will be run by a Michelin-trained chef, Marcin Kuc, from neighbouring Addingham, alongside sous chef, Artur Bialkowski.

Like the rest of Filmore & Union restaurants, the Skipton branch will serve a range of gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian dishes.

Adele Ashley, director of Filmore & Union said: “We’re so excited about our new venture in Skipton, it’s such a beautiful, bustling town with friendly residents and so much to offer both the visitors and the local people.

“As we’re a family business, it’s so important for us to support the local community in every way we can, taking on local staff, sourcing our ingredients from local suppliers and getting involved in as many of the town’s events as possible.

“It’s such a lively place and we can’t wait to be a part of it.”
