Pub development at Doncaster's Thorne Park set to create 45 jobs

Building work has started on the site of The King’s Chamber pub at Thorne Park in Doncaster.

This is the first building to commence in phase two of the regionally significant 20 acre mixed use development located at Junction 6 of the M18, being brought forward by Henry Boot Developments Limited.

The King’s Chamber by Marston’s Inns and Taverns is expected to create 45-50 new jobs in the area and will cater for up to 180 diners.

Henry Boot Developments has announced that this starts the second phase of development for retail/leisure provision on the site with a significant proportion also allocated for a Tesco supermarket and filling station as well as two drive through restaurants.

The developer recently secured a £6.45 million grant from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to enable delivery of phase three at Thorne Park.

George Georgiou, area operations manager for Marston’s Inns and Taverns said: “We’re extremely excited about our latest pub, which we hope will build a great reputation locally, offering top quality pub food and an unrivalled selection of cask beers from across the country,”
