Abingdon technology firm secures Hong Kong and Germany contracts
Abingdon-based Visible 27/7 Ltd has secured several international contracts, thanks to Government export body UK Trade & Investment (UKTI.)
Visible 24/7 Ltd have developed a range of revolutionary high performance photoluminescent materials.
They have now announced new orders to produce a range of mobile phone covers with Hong-Kong based LumDoo, and glow in the dark door handles for hotel rooms with German architectural giant Suedmetall.
Set up in 2011, the company have secured multiyear overseas contracts in excess of £2.5 million.
The company has seen sales to mainland Europe and Hong Kong dominate their turnover.
Managing director, Chris Hall said: “The material has such a wide range of uses and we have only just touched the surface with the range of applications it can be used in.
“We are also working with a German firm which are producing house numbers with the material– making it easier to see house numbers without energy use. We have also been working with a leading watch manufacturer to produce entire dials that glow – rather than just the hands.
“Our materials have also been used by Advantage Tactical Sights for pistol gun sights in the US where law enforcement agencies are required to have their front gun sight easily visible in dark environments.”
