Apadmi scoops prestigious award at The Appsters 2014
One of the most highly sought-after awards in the app world has been won by Apadmi, the UK’s leading mobile app developer.
Manchester-based Apadmi won the ‘App Developer 2014’ category at The Appsters 2014, which was held at the O2 in London on Wednesday, 12 November 2014. The company fought off fierce competition to collect the award from a seven-strong shortlist.
The App Developer 2014 category recognises developers that have demonstrated some or all of the following qualities: triumph over adversity, outstanding work in the world of app development, problem-solving, fire-fighting, innovation, success, and flying the flag for developers everywhere.
The Appsters is an annual event to showcase the very best apps on the market, as well as the developers that are excelling and becoming a driving force in the app world. This year’s event received more than 450 entries across 14 categories. Winners were decided by a judging panel of independent experts that included: Hugh Westbrook, producer at Sky News; Martin Wrigley, executive director of the App Quality Alliance; Emma Scott, managing director of Freesat; James Bourne, editor of Tech Portfolio; Terry Cordeiro, head of mobile at the Royal Bank of Scotland; and Sam Barton, head of user experience at Shop Direct.
Howard Simms, co-founder and director of Apadmi, said: “Everyone at Apadmi is absolutely thrilled that we have been named App Developer 2014 at The Appsters. In the app world, this is the equivalent of winning the Premier League!
“I’d like to dedicate this award to my team because they have all worked so hard over the last 12 months. At Apadmi, we believe that organisations should never just build an app for the sake of it. Instead, we work closely with our clients to identify exactly what they want to achieve and then we help to develop an app that is genuinely practical and useful. By doing this, we can ensure that the finished app is an unqualified success.
“I’m truly delighted that the judges have recognised the value of Apadmi’s meticulous approach towards app development.”
