Manchester to get new £40 million 27-storey residential building
Deloitte Real Estate has secured planning permission for a new 27-storey, 172 apartment residential development in Manchester City Centre on behalf of Property Alliance Group.
Situated on Albion Street, adjacent to Manchester Central and Deansgate Locks, the £40 million scheme will provide a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments within the City’s southern gateway.
5Plus Architects designed the scheme.
Director at Deloitte Real Estate, John Cooper, said: “We are delighted to have been involved in the delivery of a landmark residential building.
“AXIS presents a unique opportunity to provide a high quality residential development on a gateway site, significantly contributing to the housing supply in Manchester’s key southern gateway regeneration area and visually linking the area with the city core”.
Development director at Property Alliance Group, Dylan Williams, said: “The demand for desirable living space in Manchester continues to heat up, making this spot a particularly viable location for residential development.
“The site’s proximity to the Conference Quarter, St Peter’s Square and Spinningfields, as well as the First Street development, ensures the tower will provide an excellent addition to the city centre’s growing residential portfolio.”
