Ossett site set for industrial development after Gregory Projects purchase
Leeds based Gregory Projects Limited, part of the Gregory Property Group, has purchased a three acre site in Ossett, near Wakefield for industrial development.
The deal is one of a number being pursued by the Yorkshire developer as it renews its interests in all parts of the property sector.
The site on Milner Way is located just one mile from J40 of the M1. Historically it was occupied by fellmongers Nettleton & Porter Limited but more recently the buildings were demolished to make way for regeneration.
Richard Tovey, director at Gregory Projects said, “We are pleased to secure this site. Ossett has traditionally been a popular location for occupiers with its excellent transport links and labour force.
“We see this as a good opportunity to regenerate a disused brownfield site to provide modern warehousing at a time when activity is clearly on the increase.”
‘Ossett 40’ will offer design and build packages for occupiers on a freehold or leasehold basis. GVA Grimley and Gent Visick in Leeds have been jointly appointed to market the scheme.
Lutpton Fawcet Denison Till acted for Gregory Property Group on the site acquisition and Rex Procter & Partners will project manager the scheme.
