Using technology to accelerate business growth
North East businesses are being invited to review how they’re using technology and to exploit the latest tools to support growth and improve efficiencies.
The GrowthAccelerator team at RTC North Ltd is hosting a one-off business event to showcase some of the current and emerging technology and IT system solutions to help companies and organisations gain competitive advantage.
Split into three parts, the session will start with Peter Kerr, an experienced Growth Accelerator coach arguing that IT strategy cannot be simply aligned with the business - IT must be fully integrated within the business together with a commitment to explore innovative technologies that can improve performance.
National technology specialist Justin Short, a director at Gateshead-based Synergi IT, will explore Microsoft’s SharePoint software and provide some real world examples of how IT integration works in practical terms and will demonstrate a how this approach can be used by businesses of all sizes.
Finally, there will have a glimpse into the future as Dan Riley, from Spearhead Interactive, based in Middlesbrough, demonstrates the latest virtual reality technologies and how they can offer innovative customer experiences to increase sales and enhance user experiences
Jamie Ollivere, growth manager at GrowthAccelerator, said: “All companies should consider how the right technology can help them to achieve accelerated growth. This briefing session will involve short, lively presentations challenging many technology myths. The event should inform and offer ideas on how technology can be used to improve your business and offer value to your customers.
“The North East is lucky to have some great technology companies who have a combination of nationally experienced specialists in their field along with people and organisations developing innovative business apps and tools.”
The free event takes place at Northern Design Centre, Gateshead, on Friday November 21 with registration at 9am.
