Humberside’s Eastern Airways signs deal to connect Leeds Bradford Airport with Scandanavia
Humberside’s Eastern Airways has signed a new codeshare agreement with Norweigan regional airline Wideroe which will also provide Leeds Bradford Airport travellers with greater Norwegian connections via Aberdeen.
The deal will provide access to the Norwegian carrier’s network of Scandinavian destinations.
As part of the codeshare partnership, Eastern Airways “T3” flight code will continue to be placed on services between Aberdeen and Stavanger and Newcastle and Stavanger.
It will also be added to Aberdeen – Bergen services, which are bookable on Eastern Airways website and via travel agents from today.
This codeshare partnership and ticketing agreement will enable Eastern Airways to offer connections from Leeds Bradford to Stavanger and Bergen via Aberdeen.
Passengers hold baggage will be checked in at Leeds Bradford and collected at their end destination.
Other UK services from Cardiff, Durham Tees Valley, East Midlands, Humberside, Norwich, Southampton, Stornoway and Wick John O’Groats also connect via Aberdeen to Stavanger and Bergen.
Onward connections in Norway are also available on Wideroe’s network, including those to Haugesund, Kristiansand, Skien, Kristiansund, Molde and Sandefjord.
In turn, Wideroe will be able to offer connections on Eastern Airways’ network to Norwegians travelling onwards within the UK.
Wideroe is Scandinavia’s largest regional airline operating to more than twice as many airports in Norway than any other airline. It flies to 48 international and domestic destinations.
Kay Ryan, Eastern Airways’ commercial director, said: “This exciting new partnership with renowned Norwegian carrier, Wideroe, not only offers a new destination from Aberdeen to Bergen on the Eastern Airways network, but also ensures UK regional passengers from airports including Leeds Bradford are better connected to Norway travelling via Aberdeen.
“These connections through our Aberdeen hub are extremely convenient, viable options for travellers, particularly those within the oil and gas industry, heading to Norway or the UK.
“With onward links in Norway, Wideroe has established a vast route network and we are delighted to be working with them.”

“We can now offer improved links into the UK through Eastern Airways’ comprehensive domestic network from Aberdeen, which helps to further grow traffic on these routes.”
Eastern Airways provides high frequency flights from Leeds Bradford to Aberdeen and Southampton and has been operating from the Yorkshire airport since 2003.
Fast track security channels to avoid queues at security search at Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen airports are available to all departing Eastern Airways scheduled passengers.
