Ethical Bamboo Underwear Brand Launches New Club

A luxury underwear brand that makes its products from sustainably sourced bamboo and cotton has launched a new club entitling members to a fresh pair of pants every quarter.

For the forgetful gentleman, or the one that avoids shopping, the service from DaDa could be a game changer.

Subscribers pay a fee of £50 a year and in return get a selection of underwear posted through their door, four times a year.

DaDa founder Hamish Lawson said: “Wearing great underwear that you know has been produced ethically is a really empowering thing, however, shopping for it, is not. We wanted to make a brand that helped its manufacturers and its wearers.

“I also wanted to make something that was interesting, a lot of men’s underwear is boring, I wanted to fuse the things I’m interested in; surfing, cycling, photography and the great outdoors, with style and sustainability.”

DaDa manufactures its underwear in Sri Lanka where it pays all workers a living wage, as well as providing them with free food and transport. They also work with a women’s charity to help educate its workers, helping them to earn more.

DaDa was originally started after a KickStarter campaign in at the end of 2012 and is now looking to add new styles to their men’s range and launch a women’s range in 2015.
