Search specialists have a ball at Corporate Legends Soccer Tournament

A team of soccer enthusiasts from recruitment specialist Search Consultancy were put through their paces by Manchester City footballing legend, Shaun Goater as they participated in the Manchester Corporate Soccer Masters 2014 recently.

As co-sponsor of the event, two teams of recruitment consultants from Search Consultancy joined 11 other teams, including a side of ex-professionals, to battle it out during a five-a-side tournament which saw the Search teams finish fourth and eighth. Search was joined in sponsorship by Computer Network Infrastructure specialists CNI Solutions, whose team fought off stiff competition in the final to lift the title.

In addition to sponsoring the event, the Search team also took the opportunity to raise much-needed funds for The Factory Youth Zone, a charity run state-of-the-art youth centre based in Harpurhey, Manchester

Debbie Caswell, managing director of Search Consultancy’s offices across the North & Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Corporate Soccer Masters right here in Manchester. Not only did this provide the opportunity to participate in an exciting regional event, it also enabled us to show our support and raise money for a very worthy local cause. While they may not pose a threat to the Premiership title, our Search footballers did us all proud.”

One of the Search footballing stars David Flanagan, added: “We thoroughly enjoyed the day, which was made all the better by a coaching session with Shaun Goater and the opportunity to play against a strong PFA team. Most importantly, we were able to raise much needed funds for an invaluable local charity.”

In association with TM Sports UK, the Manchester Corporate Soccer Masters was held at Soccer in the City in Castlefield, Manchester on Friday 19 September.
