Frontline gearing up for growth in Leicester

Leicester-based Frontline Recruitment is celebrating an upturn in permanent placements by doubling its staff in the city, and moving to new offices in the New Year.

Frontline’s team in Leicester has grown from four to eight since the start of 2014 and it set to relocate to prominent city centre offices in January 2015.

What’s more, as industry figures show that an average of 250 CVs are received for each job, Frontline’s team in Leicester is reporting that it is working 80 per cent exclusively on permanent vacancies, and that its temporary business has increased seven-fold since the start of 2014.

David Essam, Regional Operations Manager at Frontline Recruitment in Leicester, said: “Our Leicester office is going great guns, and this is borne out of a jobs boom in the city brought about by a sustained upturn in the economy.

“The atmosphere in the office is excellent and there is a real sense that people want to do well and have a career within recruitment at Frontline.”

According to the latest Jobs Outlook report from industry body REC, some 79 per cent of employers are using agency workers to provide short-term access to strategic skills - and Leicester is no different.

David adds: “Employers are “trying before they buy” in Leicester, and they’re turning to Frontline Recruitment. Our staff can boast a wide a wide skill set of industry experience covering Industrial, Commercial, Engineering, Technical, Logistics, Administration, Sales and Permanent recruitment.

“Just some of our live jobs include picking and packing, assembly operatives, powder coaters, window fitters, door fitters and waste operatives plus permanent roles

Frontline, which is based on Charles Street, is not only helping Leicester businesses build their teams - it is busy adding to its own. Frontline has been working on a partnership with training specialists Babington Group on its Apprenticeship scheme. Frontline has now employed 8 young people through its Apprenticeship programme, all of whom made such an impression on the business they are now permanent employees.

David said: “We want to make sure businesses in Leicester get the best staff available, and that means investing in the future of the recruitment industry. We know that local firms are gearing up for growth, and we want to be there right beside them.”
