Manchester-headquartered BCL Legal set to double in size
BCL Legal which has its headquarters in Manchester as well as offices across the country is planning on doubling in size over the next three years.
The legal recruitment agency currently has a turnover of £9 million and a staff of 53 spread across several offices.
The expansion will see all of their offices increase in staff meaning jobs being created across England.
The company says that a big part of their culture is promotion from within which means there will be lots of opportunities across the whole business.
BCL Legal began in Manchester and has grown organically over 11 years.
The company was started with no external investment and for the first 9 years did not need to use an overdraft facility on its business account.
Now they are using funding from a RBS loan combined with their own cash flow to expand.
The RBS loan was used to purchase and refit the Manchester office as well as refurbish their Birmingham office and open a London office.
Managing director of BCL Legal, James Batt said, “When we set up the company I never once thought that it wouldn’t be a success, we sold our cars, refinanced our homes and put everything into the business.
“When you haven’t got anything you’re not risking much but I wouldn’t do the same now!
“The personality of the company is about caring, it’s about positivity, accountability and being passionate about what we do, passionate about delivering a great service.
“We want to leave the impression that our clients recruitment issues are in safe hands, we can deal with their needs with confidence and that they are dealing with experts in their fields.”
