Epic apart-hotel coming to Liverpool’s Duke Street following £800k investment

Liverpool-based Epic Apart-Hotel and Serviced Apartments has invested £800k in transforming a derelict building on Duke Street into a luxurious new apart-hotel.

The new project brings the company’s occupancy in the city centre to a total of 35 apartments and studios, further demonstrating Epic’s continued growth in the serviced-apartments sector.

75 Duke Street had been left abandoned and in desolation since 1984, but work is well underway to develop circa 7,000sq/ft of space into 17 chic and contemporary apartments located at the heart of the vibrant RopeWalks area of Liverpool.

Each apartment will be individually designed with unique decor and furniture, offering more space and home comforts that can be usually found in a city centre hotel. Two stunning mezzanine studios will also be created, one featuring a showcase courtyard garden.

Epic already has properties located on Campbell Street and Seel Street. The Duke Street apart-hotel alone will provide 15 new jobs.

Simon Beer, who owns and operates Epic along with his wife, Fiona, said: “We are very excited to bring back to life this stunning building on Duke Street. The new apartments have been engineered in a way that a two-bedroom can become a one-bedroom if needed. This flexibility is ideal for the midweek commercial market, and further demonstrates the brand’s continued evolution.”

Also new to Epic’s portfolio, Duke Street will feature a selection of ePods - smaller rooms at 15 sq/mts, aimed at the budget corporate traveller and weekend couple looking for a spacious, quality, yet affordable place to stay.

Epic continues to actively grow the brand, looking to develop further properties in and outside of Liverpool.
