J2O makers splash out on £25 million Bramley factory investment

Soft drinks firm Britvic is to create up to 40 new jobs at its site in Bramley as part of a £25 million investment.

The site, produces mixers and fruit juices such as J2O for the domestic and international market and Britvic has said that it wants to expand its current site due to increasing product demand.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the factory investment will involve a new high speed plastic bottle line, capable of producing multiple sizes of Britvic’s brands on the one line.

Ian Forrester, site operations manager, said: “Britvic is a much-loved and increasingly popular British brand with a proud heritage and a strong bond with its local communities.

“In Bramley, our site provides a huge number of jobs, skills, apprenticeships and educational opportunities to the local area. We’re delighted to be furthering this with the creation of new jobs and exciting prospects prompted by increased demand.

The proposals feature an extension of existing buildings which will be no higher than the current structures and all within the existing site boundary.
