Wearside solicitors Sweeney Miller expand with new Newcastle office
Wearside-based Sweeney Miller Solicitors has expanded north of the River Tyne into Newcastle as it looks to grow the business in 2015.
The firm has opened a new office in Newcastle, headed up by company partner Surbhi Vedhara and experienced property solicitor Michael Storey who joined Sweeney Miller last year from Tyneside firm Samuel Phillips.
The new office at Spaceworks on Benton Park Road, Newcastle, will give both Surbhi and Michael more scope to take full advantage of their Tyneside business network and roots.
From its headquarters in the Ashbrooke area of Sunderland Sweeney Miller has developed a strong client base in Sunderland and the wider North East, as well as clients from across the country in sectors such as residential conveyancing, commercial property, wills and probate, personal injury and business affairs.
The move into Tyneside is a natural progression for the company which hopes to take on more staff next year.
Company founder Paul Miller said: “A move into Newcastle has been on the agenda for some time. When Surbhi took on the partnership and then Michael joined us, it gave Sweeney Miller the foundation it needed to finally open in Newcastle.
“With the housing market picking up and the economy generally we are well placed to move forward and substantially grow the business.”
