Clarion Offers Free Physio Consultations to Staff
Leeds law firm, Clarion Solicitors, has teamed up with leading occupational physiotherapy provider, Physio Med, to offer free consultation clinics in order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of its employees.
Clarion staff are being offered 20 minute appointments with Physio Med, at regular on-site assessment clinics to discuss any musculoskeletal complaints they may have. Physio Med’s senior Chartered Physiotherapist assesses whether hands-on treatment may help and then recommends further sessions or self-management exercises.
By offering these preventative measures, coupled with the firm’s medical cash benefit plan which funds required physiotherapy treatment, Clarion hopes to reduce sickness absence levels and associated costs caused by Musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
Tracy Booth, HR Director at Clarion Solicitors, said: “A member of staff used Physio Med’s services and highly recommended them and so we contacted them and they offered to run the free assessment clinics on-site for us – and it is fair to say it has been a fantastic initiative. The wellbeing of our employees is at the heart of our company values and so to be able to offer our staff Physio Med consultations clearly demonstrates that. In the longer term it will also help us to reduce future sickness absence rates.”
Physio Med’s Clinical Director Mark Fletcher, said: “We are delighted to be working with a local Leeds firm such as Clarion, to help keep its staff fit and healthy. Evidence shows that early intervention with musculoskeletal conditions can help to prevent acute conditions becoming chronic, as well as promoting a swifter recovery and return to the workplace, so these assessments can be really important.”
Physio Med, which launched in Leeds in 2000 and provides cost effective occupational physiotherapy and ergonomic solutions to major national businesses including John Lewis, Waitrose, Carlsberg and the Department for Work & Pensions, has clinics in Leeds and Guiseley. It also has a UK-wide network of 2,500 senior Chartered Physiotherapists in 780 approved practices.
Any West Yorkshire-based business which is interested in running free staff assessment clinics can contact Mark Fletcher on 0113 229 1300.
