A mince pie with your tax return?

An Ilkley-based accountancy firm is urging the public not to bury their heads in the sand in the lead up to the tax return deadline.

Wilkinson and Partners Chartered Accountants is celebrating its first anniversary in Ilkley by throwing open the doors of its Hawksworth Street base and inviting local residents to attend a free tax clinic throughout December and January, ahead of the 31 January 2015 deadline.

The firm, which also has an office in Bingley, is offering festive drinks and mince pies to those who make appointments for the free tax clinic.

“With Christmas just around the corner, it’s easy for people to forget about the looming tax return deadline or to feel like it’s weighing down on them. By inviting local residents to make appointments for the free clinic, we can help with any queries or plans ahead of January’s deadline,” said Daniel Wilkinson, partner and chartered accountant at Wilkinson and Partners.

“We’ve had a great first year in Ilkley and to celebrate we’re looking forward to getting to know the local people and immerse ourselves even more in the community – with a festive drink and mince pies thrown in!” he added.

Specialising in accounts, taxation and business advisory services, Wilkinson and Partners was founded in Bradford in 1990, before moving to Bingley in 2006 and opening up a second office in Ilkley last year, where it is continuing to grow the team through hiring a trainee.

The team will be on hand from 1 December to mid-January, to offer free advice to those who are concerned or in need of additional support with their tax returns
