SGS – the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company – opened its new office and training suite in Oldbury, West Midlands on Thursday 4 December thanks to Councillor Derek Rowley, the Mayor of Sandwell.
’The Mayor officially opened the new training and conferencing venue in Oldbury that now provides the SGS Academy with a central training facility. As well as dedicated training services, the new office can also offer audits and certification for standards relating to Industrial services and Systems and Services certification.
Cllr.Derek Rowley was delighted with the new office and expressed a real interest in the company’s training programme.
“This is another example of how Oldbury is gearing up for new business in 2015. SGS has invested in the local community and we are very supportive of them and what they are trying to do for businesses throughout the UK. The work carried out here will be very important to companies not only in the West Midlands, but also across the country and we should be proud that Oldbury is playing its part in the drive for a better future for business.”
Jan Saunders, Systems and Services Certification UK Business Manager, said:
“Our business courses cater for everyone from larger companies right across to those working in small to medium sized operations. As more and more tenders for business demand companies are certificated and verified, it is so important to have training opportunities to meet these needs. We can provide tailored in-house courses at our Academy of between one and five days and Oldbury is a great location in the centre of the country.”
