Matthews & Goodman secure double Chester success

National commercial property specialists Matthews & Goodman have acted on behalf of leading Chester law firm Storrar Cowdry to acquire new, larger office premises to support their growth plans.

Matthews & Goodman, which has offices in Liverpool and Manchester, were instructed to identify suitable opportunities in the city and consequently agreed a new lease at 16 White Friars, Chester: a self contained Grade 2 listed property totalling 5,682 sqft.

The move to consolidate Storrar Cowdry’s two former Chester offices into one larger location will deliver a more effective and efficient work space, which will in turn reflect the future needs of the business and its clients.

Prior to commitment to the lease, Matthews & Goodman’s building consultancy team undertook the preparation of a detailed Schedule of Condition, to protect Storrar Cowdry’s occupational liability.

Following the acquisition, Matthews & Goodman also acted for the purchaser of Storrar Cowdry’s former office premises in the city centre, which benefit from residential planning consent.
