Caddick begins construction on £20 million Kirkstall shopping centre
Yorkshire-based business, Caddick Construction, has begun work on the major new £20 million Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park.
The development will create 120,000sq ft of retail space, becoming an exciting new destination for retailers and shoppers.
It was recently announced that Kirkstall Forge would also be getting a new railway station and access road to be completed by summer next year.
The shopping park is set to be trading by Christmas 2015, and has already confirmed an impressive list of tenants. Pre-lets include BHS, JD Sport, Outfit, M&S, Costa Coffee and Pure Gym.
Andrew Murray, managing director at Caddick Construction, comments: “Securing this major project in Kirkstall is a great addition to our retail portfolio of work. This is an exciting time for the region and we’re proud to have been chosen to deliver this sensational project.
“We have a vast amount of retail experience, having recently undertaken work on the new Vangarde Shopping Park in York, the Ellesmere Shopping Centre, in Walkden, and the shopping parade in Rotherham.
“We’re also currently finalising refurbishment work to The Core Shopping Centre, in Leeds city centre, which will complete next month.
“These projects demonstrate our capability in delivering high quality retail projects from £1 million to £30 million.”

Caddick Construction will be working alongside Rowney Sharman Project Consultants Ltd, Corstorphine + Wright Architects, Macgregor Smith Landscape Architecture, Quantum Consulting LLP, Evolve Consulting Engineers, Shore Engineering Ltd, TÜV SÜD Wallace Whittle and SCP Transport.
Caddick Construction and Caddick Civil Engineering are the operational arms of Caddick Group PLC. The Group employs almost 500 people and its turnover is £90 million.
