Print firm presents at first Dubai packaging forum

North East based Reproflex3 have returned from a successful packaging forum in Dubai, involving some of the world’s largest brands, after being invited to guest speak at the December event.

The firm’s joint managing director, Andrew Hewitson, delivered a talk at the MEA Packaging Forum 2014, the first event of its kind, to an audience including the likes of Unilever and PepsiCo.

The event was an opportunity to ‘encourage trade, technology transfer, investment and growth in the packaging industry in Middle East and Africa’, with Mr Hewitson used his presentation to highlight how pre-press print services can strategically support brands directly in delivering their packaging design intent.

In particular, Mr Hewitson cited the recent success Reproflex3 has enjoyed by working with dairy brand giant, Müller Dairy, on yogurt and rice packaging – products that have since seen an increase in sales.

The event was also timely, as Reproflex3 are set to announce the opening of a new facility in Dubai in the New Year. The facility will service both the UAE and wider Middle East print market with Reproflex3’s pre-press printing plate and packaging services.

Mr Hewitson commented “this was a fantastic event, giving us a great opportunity to network with some major figures in the Middle East and African print markets. We were privileged to present on how we see the impact a pre-press solution has on brand packaging today.

We feel this is particularly important in growing markets such as the Middle East, where they are seeing an ever increasing consumer demand for premium packaging“
