New look website for Lancashire Sport Partnership
Leyland-based Lancashire Sport Partnership (LSP) has unveiled a brand new website to help encourage the county of Lancashire to become more active.
The new site http://www.lancashiresport.org.uk, developed by Bespoke | Web Specialists, is aimed at those working or volunteering in sport and offers guidance on funding resources, advice and support for clubs, allows users to search quickly and easily for courses and events, as well as signposting people to organisations where they can find out more information on sport in the region.
“Our aim is to get 55,000 people active in the local community by 2017”, says communications officer Rachel Abbotts. “We work with and support a number of partners, including national governing bodies, local authorities, Sport England and higher and further education sectors, helping them deliver an array of initiatives, such as Sportivate, Rising Stars Fund, Beginners Running, Lancashire School Games and Positive Together to a range of sectors from women and girls, people with disabilities and those that are inactive.
“The website is a valuable resource tool to showcase all the different elements of sport in Lancashire and promote how easy it is to become involved,” added Rachel.
