A new year business revolution

Looking to 2015 I am excited by what promises to be an amazing year for the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC)

Pivotal to success, we are planning a busy events calendar comprising of external and internal activities. These events will hopefully provide the BIC with a multitude of business opportunities and increase networking prospects.

I will be continuing in my mission to raise the profile of the Open Space and the co-working facility, and we already have confirmed events throughout the new year which will take place in this popular and contemporary surrounding.

Event partners that we hope to work with throughout the year include internal BIC tenants, the NECC, The Mussel Club, Sunderland Marriot Hotels, The Newcastle Business and IP Centre, University of Sunderland, The Cultural Spring and many more.

I will be focusing our timetable on events that offer real benefits to BIC clients.

Our aim is to help businesses develop and to give clients what they want, whether this is a course, a workshop or something a bit different. With this in mind, we are currently planning auto-enrolment meetings, health and wellbeing workshops, legislative seminars, intellectual property sessions and networking events.

We plan to raise our profile by attending local exhibitions, trade fairs and awards ceremonies, working to strengthen existing relationships with external suppliers as well as create new ones.

It’s all very well doing your job to a high standard and maintaining a presence behind your desk, but by attending events you are growing and developing yourself and your business, increasing your contact base and your networks, learning, and building confidence in your field of work, paramount to success.

If you have an idea for an event that you would like to see here at the BIC or want to find out more about our upcoming events, please drop me an email lauren.saul@ne-bic.co.uk

Remember… “If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.”
