Video production company launches in Leeds

Yorkshire businesses and creative agencies now have the opportunity to appoint an online video content production company which specialises in making cinematic stories.

Based in Leeds, OLV Films is owned by 28-year-old Zak Hamza who holds a degree in film and video production from Wolverhampton University.

Zak set up the business after going on The Prince’s Trust Enterprise programme with a £4,000 loan from The Prince’s Trust and support from a personal Prince’s Trust business mentor.

Commenting on his venture, Zak said: “OLV stands for ‘Our Little Vision’ and represents the way we work with clients to make their visions a reality.

“We are a creative, energetic business that produces high quality cinematic stories to attract and engage people online. We use the term ‘cinematic stories’ because the approach we take to video production is derived directly from my love of cinema, story-telling and the moving image.

“By combining these techniques on the promotional videos we make the end result is not just a video, but a story that my clients can use to excite, interest and inform audiences. With the continued growth of online video content, I’ve established OLV Films to help businesses gain the most from this powerful medium.”

OLV Films’ cinematic stories can take the form of a 30-second talking head, promotional film, short film or mini-documentary.

Zak continued: “We’ve already produced a number of corporate, promotional and educational films. Our objective is to further grow the company by working directly with Yorkshire businesses, or on behalf of the many excellent creative agencies in the county.

“We’re excited by the opportunity to provide people with a refreshingly different cinematic approach to online video content.”
