Durham Tees Valley Airport lift off 2015 with new-look initiatives
Durham Tees Valley is aiming high in 2015 with the launch of a new-look website and a major marketing drive over the next two months as the first stages in a programme of initiatives planned for the year head.
Under the headline ‘It’s a Small World’ the new website highlights the global links to over 200 destinations available from Durham Tees Valley, also linking in to a new partner flight/holiday comparison site.
Airport Managing Director, Steve Gill, said “We have committed in the region of £20k to developing the new website, providing a new, attractive and easy-to-use ‘shop window’ for the airport at the heart of our continuing marketing programme which will see us investing over £30k in January and February to underline that Durham Tees Valley really is the ‘convenience’ airport where you can park right by the terminal and quickly be on your way to literally every corner of the globe through the three daily connection to Amsterdam with KLM.
“In addition the website highlights the services provided by one of our other key partner airlines Eastern Airways who, as well as their regular service to Aberdeen, fly to a number of other destinations in Scotland and Norway.
“There’s also details of the wide choice of package holidays available from Durham Tees Valley to Italy and Jersey, along with all the information you need for planning your journey, everything from advice on luggage regulations and special assistance services to what to expect when you arrive at the airport.
“All in all the website aims to provide a quality customer experience for today’s travellers—that’s why, for example, we have introduced mobile and tablet versions of the new site.
“This really does mark the start of a significant programme of activity at Durham Tees Valley, reflecting the ambitions set out in the Airport Masterplan to provide the services which are so vital for the local business community and to maximise the potential of the whole site in order to ensure that those services can be maintained and developed further in the future.”
