London-based online pharmacy launch a big hit with workers
A new trend emerged over Christmas and New Year, as a the launch of a same day delivery service allowed savvy City workers to order prescription medication directly to their desk to alleviate the excessiveness of the festive season.
MedExpress Pharmacy, who offer prescription medication through online consultation, reported huge sales of rapid migraine relieving tablets which can take just 90 minutes from placing the order to desk delivery in London. Orders outside the capital are normally delivered the next day
According to Dwayne D’Souza, MD of MedExpress.co.uk:
“We were overwhelmed by orders from the City of London, where news of the service was spread by word-of-mouth and proved to be incredibly popular”.
“Migraines are very common around the Christmas period and people just don’t have time to be ill. Alcohol and hangovers are not the only things which can give you a headache, even the smell of a Christmas tree has been shown to trigger a migraine”.
“We couldn’t have hoped for a better way to launch the pharmacy. Not everyone can take the morning off to visit their G.P. so we hope we can help to save business people valuable time and money”.
MedExpress is registered as an internet pharmacy with the General Pharmaceutical Council. They use the same pharmaceutical suppliers and wholesalers as traditional high street pharmacies. All medicines purchased by a pharmacy (internet or high street) must be purchased from an approved wholesaler. You do not need an existing prescription to use the service. MedExpress offer a free consultation process which is reviewed by one of their prescribers who will issue a private prescription (for all eligible patients).
