Patrick Parsons opens new Manchester office

New city centre base for consulting engineers will be a hub for mechanical and electrical engineering services

Multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, Patrick Parsons, has further extended its geographical reach with the opening of a new office in Manchester city centre, which will specialise in mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering services.

Having previously served the area out of its Chester and Huddersfield offices, Patrick Parsons will now be ideally positioned to offer its Manchester clients a high quality of service right on their doorstep.

The Newcastle-headquartered company has been working towards having a base in Manchester for over two years and, with three key individuals now in place to lead the office, the new year has proved to be the right time to make the move into the city.

The Deansgate-based office is headed up by experienced building services director John Joyce, who has led the M&E team at Patrick Parsons’ Chester office since summer 2014.

With the aim of expanding the Manchester base quickly, the firm plans to add between 12 and 15 engineers to the existing team within the first 18 months in its drive to make this office a centre of excellence for M&E.

Peter Stienlet, managing director of Patrick Parsons, said: “We are very pleased to be beginning 2015 with the announcement that we have opened a new office in Manchester in line with our strategy of expansion, following our recent acquisition of firms in Birmingham and London.

“I am confident that the highly skilled team we have in place will ensure the future success and growth of this office, and enable us to not only meet growing demand for our M&E services but also to make this a hub for M&E engineering in the UK.”
