Hartlepool’s Stadium Group relocating to expand manufacturing capability in South China

Hartlepool-based Stadium Group Plc, a leading electronics technologies group, has upgraded its manufacturing capability in South China by relocating to a new facility.

The relocation will take place when the lease on the current site expires in mid-2015, as the board felt the move necessary to facilitate continued business growth.

This new site will significantly enhance Stadium’s technical capability, providing a more modern facility, better suited to the increasing expectations of existing and new customers, both in Asia and globally.

The total cost of this upgrade to new facilities will be less than £1 million, which will be offset by reduced operating costs and forecast growth in 2015 and beyond.

It is expected that this investment will achieve payback in two to three years.

The company has announced that trading for the year ended 31 December 2014 is in line with expectations, supported by a strong performance in Technology Products including Stadium United Wireless which was acquired in July 2014.

Final results for the year ended 31 December 2014 will be announced on Tuesday 10 March 2015.
