Bury-based Hargreaves invests in new design centre creating 10 jobs
Bury-based air movement and ventilation ductwork specialists, Hargreaves, has invested in a new design centre, creating 10 jobs in the process.
Located at the company’s headquarters on Lord Street, the new Design Centre will offer design services covering the whole project lifecycle; from feasibility studies, concept design and development of computer-based flow models to manufacture, installation and a complete commissioning service.
Martin Crouch has been appointed to head up Hargreaves’ Design Centre, joining the company with 35 years’ experience in ducting development and design.
Martin said: “The UK is experiencing something of a nuclear renaissance at the moment, with projects such as EDF’s new nuclear power station at Hinckley Point C signalling major investment and a willingness to embrace nuclear as a significant part of our future energy supply solution.
“Hargreaves is leading the way in addressing this agenda and is delivering the most advanced and business critical ventilation and containment projects, not only within the nuclear sector but to all the market sectors that rely on our quality, experience and design expertise.”
Managing director of Hargreaves, Tim Hopkinson, said: “This is an exciting time for Hargreaves.
“Our new design capability demonstrates our commitment to staying ahead of the marketplace in terms of design expertise and our tailored approach to working with customers on the specific needs of each project.
“Our investment in the Design Centre and Martin’s appointment form the final pieces in the jigsaw for our full HVAC turnkey solution, reinforcing our reputation in the industry and opening up new markets for us.”
