£2 million refurbishment of Teesside office space to boost regional enterprise

A major refurbishment of a portfolio of both business units and retail space at Midland House in Linthorpe, Teesside, is currently underway.

JR Property Development, under the directorship of Mr Geoff Hogg, is behind the £2 million refurbishment which will transform Midland House into a new business centre of high-spec offices for tech and professional businesses.

The development, which is to be rebranded as ‘Central Point’ due to its central location, will also feature a renovated ground floor dedicated to retail space.

The Linthorpe road central location is on the corner of Linthorpe road and Southfield road, effectively a gateway site that is the main access for Teesside University.

Two retail units have so far been let, whilst 12 businesses have taken up space on the first floor business centre.

The comprehensive refurbishment includes secure, underground parking, 24 hour access and CCTV, whilst all office developments have access to high speed broadband.

Geoff told Bdaily: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Teesside businesses. Such a prominent and central location is quite a rarity and the amenities we are offering makes for a highly attractive prospect.

“We’re a stones throw away from the University’s incubator units so potential opportunities for future mergers with burgeoning businesses exists.

“We’ve actually only been marketing for a couple of days and 12 businesses have signed up already, we don’t even have a website yet!”
