Sheffield comms agency appointed by global solar energy firm

Sheffield-based communications agency Counter Context, has been appointed by SunEdison, a global solar energy leader, to manage their UK project communications and community engagement.

SunEdison manufactures solar technology and develops, finances, installs and operates distributed solar power plants, delivering predictably priced electricity and services to its residential, commercial, government and utility customers and operates in 25 countries throughout the world.

Alexis Krachai, executive director of Counter Context, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by SunEdison – it is a fantastic start to 2015 for us as a company.

“SunEdison are an industry leader and since 2013 have interconnected over 250MW of utility scale solar farms in the UK and have a strong pipeline going in to this year. We look forward to pro-actively supporting them as we begin working together.”

Counter Context will be working for SunEdison, who are head-quartered in the United States, across a number of utility scale solar projects – supporting their public consultations, communication activities and the production of multi-media materials and events.
