Harvey "Stryves" for quality!
Mental health nurse Harvey Morgan is helping care and nursing homes to operate to the highest possible standards after going-it-alone with his own company.
The 29-year-old has launched Stryve Limited to provide support to businesses/organisations in the health and social care sectors.
By calling on a team of experienced clinical specialists on a consultancy basis, he is able to provide a range of services, including quality assurance, crisis management, compliance assessments, project management and landlord services.
“In today’s challenging environment, our team of clinical specialists can help care and nursing home operators develop their systems and staff to achieve sustained quality assurance and clinical effectiveness.
“At the end of the day, we are dealing with the most vulnerable people in society and we can provide peace of mind that they are being well looked after,” said Harvey whose company is based at Wynyard Park, a 700-acre mixed use development on Teesside.
Harvey, a mental health nursing graduate, has previously worked in the NHS, inlcuding a spell with the Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust. He also has experience of working with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the Royal College of Psychiatry’s peer review team, the Royal College of Nursing and the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the regulatory body for nurses.
“Our clinical specialists have experience of working with the CQC on compliance inspections from both a regulatory and provider perspective which puts us in a unique position to approach compliance assessments in a sensitive but constructive manner. From our findings, we will work with clients’ clinical leadership to develop services to achieve high standards of care delivery.
“Unfortunately, there are occasions when care providers can find themselves subject to serious case review, liquidation or closure. This is often a vulnerable time for staff, relatives and, most importantly, service users. Stryve will look to provide support through a dedicated team skilled in service delivery and seek to turn around the business to achieve safe standards,” he added.
Harvey said Wynyard Park’s location next to the A19 and close to the A1 was a key factor in his decision to move there.
He added: “Living nearby at Wynyard was also a big pull, whilst the overall quality of Wynyard Park appealed. It is a classy and vibrant place and, from an image point of view, it is a great place to do business from.”
