Whitley Bay home store hosts tea day this Saturday

A leading Tyneside independent home improvement company will this weekend host a tea day in its bid to educate the region about the health benefits of the in vogue drink.

Boda Home, based on Whitley Road, in Whitley Bay, will showcase some of the world’s finest black, green and herbal tea for its guests for free and owner Jade Skeels has urged anyone who is serious about tea and getting healthy this winter, to attend.

She said: “Nothing is more relaxing or heart-warming than a nice cup of hot tea. And Boda Home’s Tea Day this coming Saturday will encourage you to branch out and try new different types of tea this winter to compliment different moods, tastes and environments.

“English breakfast tea is, of course, brilliant in every possible way, but you’d be amazed at what else is out there and the genuine health benefits they can bring!”

From green tea to chai tea, the company is looking forward to giving people a unique glimpse of what’s on offer in an informal atmosphere.66% of the British population drink tea every day, with over 165 million cups being enjoyed every 24 hours – that’s more than twice the amount of coffee consumed.

According to recent studies, drinking three or more cups of tea a day is as good for you as drinking plenty of water and may even have extra health benefits.

Tea not only rehydrates as well as water does, but it can also protect against heart disease and some cancers, UK nutritionists have found.

The Boda Home Tea Day takes place on Saturday January 31st from 9am until 5:30pm.
