Huddersfield electricians secure largest ever project transforming redundant offices
Huddersfield electrical firm Ti Installations has secured a 26 week contract in Woose Hill, Wokingham, the largest single project the team has won to date.
The contract will see them deliver full electrical wiring services, fire alarms, door entry systems, external lighting and TV aerials, as a 3-storey redundant office building is converted into residential apartments.
Main contractor Tandem Contracts appointed the team of northern electrical experts following the support they provided on another Tandem job in London, in July.
Ti’s ‘emergency services’ were sought for a 1250sqm commercial facility that required the installation of an isolator, fire alarms, small power and the segregation of power from two units into one.
Tandem’s contract managing director Jon Fairley explained: “I was aware of Kris and Mark’s expertise before they came together to form Ti Installations, and when I saw the growth that the company had experienced I knew they were capable of successfully completing a job of the scale we had in London.
“Fast forward to the Wokingham project and I am very pleased with the team’s performance. They meticulously plan their schedule, which is important when there are tight timescales to satisfy, and they believe in executing works to the highest possible electrical standards, which safeguards Tandem’s reputation too.”
Ti Installations’ joint managing director Kris Johnson said: “This is a fantastic showcase of our multi-disciplined electrical, security and audio expertise, and evidence that we can add real value to projects small and large.
“Location bears no significance when it comes to servicing the commercial opportunities that exist in the industry. We simply have a team working in the south on this project, whilst our other electricians take care of our other commercial work and smaller domestic jobs in the north.”
