Hat trick of deals at Escrick Park after £1.4 million refurb

A hat-trick of deals have been concluded at the Escrick Park Estate between York and Selby, with three North Yorkshire companies relocating to the estate, which has been owned and managed by the Forbes Adam family for the past 300 years.

Seven redundant farmsteads on the park, east of the A19, underwent a comprehensive £1.4 million refurbishment, and more than 130 jobs have been created.

Space Creative, a design and digital studio established in 2002, has taken 1,200 sq ft of quality office space at 4 Bramley’s Barn in the Menagerie.

Managing director Kate Eady explained: “Business is good, we are growing and now have a team of nine. Although many design studios are in city centres, we all find working in more rural setting more inspiring.

“We came from a smaller barn conversion which all our clients loved, so when we outgrew that, it made common sense to find something similar.

“We all feel very lucky that we found The Menagerie. It’s in a beautiful setting near York, there is loads of free parking for us and our customers, and the quirky layout gives us room to expand. And I can bring my two dogs to work too,” she added.

Ypsomed, a Swiss-based company specialising in homecare products and treatment for diabetes, has taken 2,000 sq ft at 1 Park Court, Riccall Road, and logistics firm Aramex Ltd has taken 800 sq ft next door at 2 Park Court.

Charles Forbes Adam, the owner and developer of Escrick Park, which is just five minutes away from the A64, commented: “We are delighted to welcome all three companies to our business park.

“Their arrival is a ringing endorsement of the quality of our rural offices, which are attracting new occupiers in challenging economic times.”
