In-demand Liverpool business park completes another deal
Liverpool-based developer, Prospect GB, has completed another lettings deal at Meridian Business Village in Hunts Cross with the arrival of Aabyss Computers.
Previously based in Wavertree, the IT support company has become the 22nd tenant at the business park off Woodend Avenue, having signed a five-year lease agreement on a two-floor unit comprising 2,695 square feet. Aabyss has moved to accommodate a doubling in its size following a decision 18 months ago to change its service model from reactive maintenance to preventative maintenance through managed services and remote IT monitoring.
Aabyss director, Andrew Allen, said: “The vast majority of IT companies are still based on a traditional break-fix response to equipment failures, but it’s a flawed business model which isn’t cost-effective for the end client. Our remote operation provides a better return on our clients’ investment by maintaining their IT assets through scheduled maintenance and continual system optimisation. Our clients don’t measure our performance by how quickly we respond when things go wrong, but by how infrequently they see us. “
“Although this service model is closely aligned with the needs of numerous small-to-medium businesses with high IT dependency, it is a rarity in the current market, a factor which has driven our recent growth. Meridian Business Village has ample on-site parking and lies within easy reach of the city centre and the motorway network, so it’s ideally located for our team of field engineers to visit a site when a situation demands it.”
Head of Prospect GB’s commercial division, Chris Walker, said: “Meridian Business Village has attracted a high percentage of companies which, like Aabyss, provide professional services within the business-to-business sector. Its modern mixed-use surroundings, flexible office space and excellent transport links provide an ideal combination for this type of business.”
The arrival of Aabyss has left just three units available at Meridian Business Village, offering various configurations of business space in sizes ranging from 1,313 square feet up to 8,085 square feet.
