Ecompter: the carbon management application for hotels.
Ecompter’s first video is an animated introduction to the software solution for UK hotels which captures Ecompter’s contemporary appeal to this next generation of visitors – the millennials.
Environmentally friendly hotels have never been more relevant, with recent research showing that 62% of millennials appreciate businesses that reduce waste and 71% believing it imperative to address causes that are important to them; as the number of millennial guests with growing spending power increases the need to cater to this emerging market is greater than ever.
Having successfully launched in Finland and Sweden in 2011, Ecompter has helped 40 hotels in the Best Western franchise engage staff with handy tips for saving energy while tracking usage, enabling socially responsible conversations between staff and guests. In total the carbon footprint of the Best Western group was reduced by 29%, representing tens of thousands of Euros savings.
Ecompter is more than just software; it is a valuable tool to for hotels to reduce waste and engage guests directly about the all-important carbon footprint.
Bringing Ecompter to the UK under the product offering of Environmental Compliance specialists Comply Direct, based out of MediaCityUK, represents huge carbon reduction, guest engagement and cost management opportunities for the entire industry.
Comply Direct are looking forward to supporting and engaging with the local tourism industry in Manchester with the Ecompter application and will be hosting focus groups and conducting free demonstrations of the Ecompter software for any hotel.
The technology powering Ecompter is modern but accessible – as the video alludes. As Ecompter continues to grow in partnership with hotels, the carbon management experts expect to get creative with more videos to explore the software’s capabilities. It’s just another thing that makes Ecompter different in going the extra (green) mile.
