Cellino’s Eleonora Sports moves to Huddersfield
Massimo Cellino’s firm Eleonora Sports has moved to ‘enemy territory’ with new registered offices in Huddersfield village Shepley.
According to the Huddersfield Examiner, rural village south of Huddersfield is now home to the registered office of Eleonora Sport Limited, founded by charismatic Italian Massimo Cellino.
The controversial magnate was disqualified from running Leeds United last month and has now also stepped down as a director of Eleonora Sport, the company that finances the Elland Road club.
Part of the change has seen the Italian firm move its official base from central London to a small business park off Abbey Road, Shepley.
Documents lodged with Companies House show Eleonora Sport Ltd, which holds a 75% stake in Leeds, moved its HQ to Shepley on January 27, four days after Mr Cellino officially stepped down from the board following a long row with the Football League.
Firms based at the village’s Whitby Court business park include chartered accountants Gibson-Booth.
