Highly skilled sea veteran joins McAusland Turner

One of Hull’s oldest and most respected marine survey and consulting firms, McAusland Turner, is delighted to announce a new appointment for their South of England office in the form of maritime expert, Ian Dunkley.

Before joining the team at their new dockside offices, Ian combined part time work as a nautical lecturer and trainer with a wide range of general marine survey work. He is now looking forward to representing McAusland Turner in London and the South East, from his base in Gravesend.

A highly respected, experienced and multi skilled master of the sea, Ian’s 30 year career has seen him conquer life on board cargo ships and first generation container vessels. He has also overseen marine vessel coating maintenance, historical ship renovation and the implementation of the current day RNLI lifeboat system as well as specializing in marine defence.

It was while serving his long periods of office that he also managed to obtain several high-ranking maritime certificates and master diplomas in each of his chosen specialists.

Albert Weatherill, Managing Director of McAusland Turner, says of his new crew member: “We are truly delighted to have someone of Ian’s calibre join us. We can’t all be everywhere all of the time and now I can truly relax, knowing that such a dedicated maritime officer is in charge of our southern operations.”

McAusland Turner has been a leading light in enterprise on the Humber for over 125 years, serving the maritime industry worldwide from its Hull headquarters.
