Chris appointed to new Yorwaste role
Waste management specialist Yorwaste has appointed Chris Leach as Director of Sales as the North Yorkshire-based company seeks to expand over the next few years.
Chris, who has worked in the waste industry for 25 years, has joined Yorwaste from West Yorkshire based Orchard Environmental, where he was Associate Director of Sales.
The 57-year-old has been tasked with coordinating and driving the commercial side of Yorwaste’s business, including exploring new business opportunities and increasing profitability.
He is part of a newly formed commercial team at Yorwaste, which includes Commercial Director Richard Abell, Key Account Manager Gill Mulroe, Business Development Manager Ken Davidson and Director of Future Developments Tony Sharkey.
Chris, who will be based at Yorwaste’s Harewood Whin Resource Recovery Centre in York, says: “I am delighted to have joined Yorwaste at such an exciting time for the company. It has a tremendous ethos and is ambitious to grow through building on its existing portfolio and introducing new services.”
Steve Grieve, Managing Director of Yorwaste, said: “Chris has a proven track record in the sector and is an excellent addition to the commercial team at Yorwaste. He will play an important role in helping the company meet its growth ambitions in the years ahead.”
