Ultimate Café goes flipping crazy for Pancake Day
Ultimate Café based in Ultimate Outdoors in Deepdale Shopping Park is looking to break a Guinness World Record this Pancake Day and is asking YOU to get involved!
Today (Tuesday, February 17) directors Nichola Lee and Andrea Edwards will encourage customers at the eatery to go ‘flipping crazy’ whenever they purchase a pancake in an attempt to beat the current record. Each diner will be given a frying pan and a chance to beat the clock in the hope of breaking a new record.
Nichola Lee said: “At the moment, the most tosses of a pancake in one minute is 140 and was achieved by Brad Jolly in Australia on 21 February 2012. We want to encourage as many people as possible to come in store, grab a pan and see if they can do better.
“Pancake Day is our favourite time of the year, as we get to be even more creative in the kitchen. But this year, we have decided to put our customers to the test to see if we could break a world record!“
Ultimate Café has an ever growing reputation for pancakes, whether it is traditional British pancakes served with sugar and lemon, American sweet stacks or their popular range of gluten free pancakes.
Andrea added: “We are renowned across the region for our speciality pancakes. From families to businesspeople – everyone just can’t get enough of them. So it’s time to get our frying pans at the ready and get flipping this Pancake Day!”
Ultimate Café is located on the first floor of Ultimate Outdoors in Deepdale Shopping Park in Preston. The venue is open Mon-Fri 9am-8:30pm Sat 9am-6:30pm and Sun 11am-4:30pm. For more information call 01772 282 744.
