Accountants continue to grow with Appointment of Apprentice!
East Yorkshire-based 360 Chartered Accountants has appointed a new apprentice as the firm continues to expand, taking them up to a twelve-strong team in just five years.
Melissa Craft, 17, from Elloughton, completed her GCSEs at South Hunsley Secondary School in the summer. Her appointment to the 360 Apprentice Programme is a measure of the company’s success in training the next generation of accountants, with four previous apprentices already having been promoted internally.
Melissa will be working in 360’s tax department for her first 12 months at which point she will move into the accounts team.
Andy Steele, Director at 360 Chartered Accountants based in Melton, said:
“Our apprenticeship scheme has proved to be incredibly successful and we continue to be passionate about investing and developing the skills of all those we train. It’s also great to see that our previous four apprentices have all chosen to stay with us. We’re a very busy team and there’s plenty of room for growth and promotion for all of our team.
“This is the first time we have appointed a GCSE leaver but Melissa proved to us how capable and confident she is for her age and she has already hit the ground running. We look forward to seeing her blossom in her new role.”
Melissa will start studying for her AAT qualification soon with a view to becoming a fully qualified accountant in 3 to 5 years.
