A £22 million development of 118 new homes in Cramlington by North East housebuilder Bett Homes has been granted full planning permission.

Bett Homes will also contribute towards the provision of green open space, sport and recreational facilities for residents as part of its planning conditions.
Work on the site is due to begin in February with the first homes ready for occupation in September.
The development build is expected be completed by 2019 creating a large number of sales and local construction jobs over the next four years.
Bett Homes’ managing director, Scott Varley, said: “We are delighted to have received full planning permission and the backing of Northumberland council to bring these high quality new homes to Cramlington.
“This development is a significant investment for Bett Homes and is part of the businesses ongoing strategy for a major roll out of new sites across the North East in 2015.”
Bett Homes has undertaken extensive market research and studied home living trends to enable it to develop the selection of properties it will build in Cramlington, raising the standard of new build homes and setting them apart from the competition.
By keeping a finger on the pulse of current home living trends, Bett Homes’ range of new homes offers a standard of living that is anything but standard. Inspired by the desires and aspirations of real customers, the housebuilder has taken home design to a whole new level.
Scott added: “Thanks to what homebuyers have told us, we have designed an exceptional collection of new homes with functional and flexible design, which we are hugely excited about bringing to Cramlington.
“The development also benefits from an excellent location close to local amenities and schools making it ideal for families looking to upgrade to a new-build home with a difference and so we expect it to be very popular with buyers.”
