NoChintz completes backstage bar at Manchester Arena
NoChintz has finished an exclusive backstage bar at the Manchester Arena on behalf of client, SMG.
The Manchester design team was responsible for the bar, ‘Plus One’s’ identity, interior design and branding.
The design team took inspiration from various musical and stage references and brought it into the space through the use of studio style lighting and bespoke microphone installations.
NoChintz drew bespoke graphics based on scientific vibration patterns that were printed directly to the tabletops.
Key features included a large mesh panel installation, which was applied to the walls behind the bespoke designed fixed seating.
Event and PR manager at Manchester Arena Matt Ward, said: “For the last 20 years Manchester Arena has played host to countless global stars and welcomed millions of visitors through its doors.
“From the outset we wanted to create a bar, which nodded to both the arena’s history and the city itself. The minute we met NoChintz it was clear to see that they had Manchester in their blood and the vision bring music and Manchester into the design.”
NoChintz director, Natalie Gray said: “As a Manchester-based company ourselves, we were immensely proud to be involved in this project.
“Music, stage and the city of Manchester are at the core of the design for ‘Plus One’ and these all underpinned the project from start to finish.
“Major design features, such as the amplifiers combined with subtle touches such as the drum stools work together to create an environment which is unmistakably linked to the Arena itself.”
