Land Next To Seaham Cemetary Given New Life

A local development company is working with Seaham Town Council to satisfy the requirement for family homes in the area.

All Saints Living, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, have purchased a parcel of unused land adjacent to the cemetery in Seaham, and has had planning permission granted to build an exclusive development of family homes. The development company, which currently have almost 200 homes under construction across the UK, agreed a deal with the local council to buy and recycle the surplus land, which is situated in a mature and respectable area in the town. The residential development will consist of 8 three bedroom spacious family homes, built to a high standard, with prices starting from as little as £139,500.

The local council have been extremely supportive of the scheme which addresses a need for homes, as well as preventing unusued land becoming an eyesore or a problem area in Seaham. The area around the development will be further rejuvenated with the plans to refurbish and rent the buildings inside the cemetery to local businesses Managing Director, Willi Thompson of All Saints Living said “There has been significant investment into the regeneration of Seaham in recent years, and we are delighted to be breathing new life into unused land in the town to provide family homes. We are working with local contractors to ensure the properties are completed to the standard expected of All Saints Living homes.”

The homes are being sold through local estate agent Kimmitt & Roberts, and the sales launch is planned for the 28th March 2015.
