The deal, which will run initially until the end of the 2015/16 season, will see Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire become the official “Transport Partner” to Tranmere Rovers.
The partnership will see a number of joint ventures and promotions take place over the duration of the agreement.
Operations manager at Stagecoach’s Birkenhead depot, Jamie Reid, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Tranmere Rovers – this is a fantastic club with a very strong fan base. “We’re looking forward to working closely with the club to deliver affordable match day travel and transport links for supporters and explore how we can improve their experience.
“Match day is already a hive of activity without having to worry about how you will get there – we’ve got some great family ticket offers which will enhance the experience and allow people to easily reach the match without the hassle associated with bringing a car.”
