Gateshead risk management company acquires North West safety equipment supplier
Lucion Environmental, a Gateshead-based risk management company, has acquired Wirral-based safety equipment supplier, Innov8 Safety Solutions.
The deal, finalised by Lucion’s financial director and co-founder Charles Pickles with Innov8’s Managing Director, Alan Robson, will enable Lucion to further expand its risk management services throughout the UK and increasingly across the globe.
Founded in 2002 by Dr Patrick Morton and Charles Pickles, Lucion Environmental currently has 7 offices across the UK and an office in Singapore to service the marine market. With the acquisition of Innov8 Safety Solutions Ltd, Lucion’s customers will benefit from one point of call to mitigate a broader range of environmental risks.
Lucion Environmental, with its headquarters in Gateshead, currently employs 170 staff and is on track to exceed £11m turnover by the end of the financial year.
Charles Pickles said: “Innov8 Safety Solutions provide Construction Design Management Consultancy (CDMC), site safety advice and associated training across the UK. By having these services within the Lucion stable, our clients will be able to benefit from a holistic risk management service.
“Innov8 has an enviable reputation for independent pragmatic professionalism, which we shall maintain. It has been a genuine pleasure to work with Alan and his team over the last few months and we are all now looking forward to capitalising upon our enhanced service offering.”
Alan Robson said: “We have long admired the quality of service that Lucion offers to its clients. Together we will be an even more effective and responsive organisation. Clients will benefit from cutting-edge technology and methodologies on which Lucion has built its success over the last decade.”
By combining the additional skills of Innov8 Safety Solutions, Lucion Services are ideally situated to provide holistic risk management solutions to UK markets and beyond.
