Hull interiors firm Ark completes major fit out for shipping firm
Hessle-based fit-out firm Ark Interiors has completed the design and installation of one of the UK’s largest independent shipping, logistics and corporate travel company’s new headquarters.
After relocating to Bridgehead Business Park, the John Good Group appointed Ark Interiors to complete a full office fit-out to match the environmental ethos of the business park.
The project came after Ark Interiors completed Victoria Plumb’s headquarters based in the same Hessle-based business park, which includes biomass boiler technology, daylight dimming lighting and solar power.
Ark Interiors Graham Fisher said: “We are delighted to have worked closely with the John Good Group to design and install their new headquarters in a unique way which encapsulates their business ethos while also meeting the environmental requirements of the business park.
Arks Director Shaun Hodgins said: “We grasped the opportunity to create this unique commercial setting and we are delighted with the results. The design of the office showcases John Good’s professional approach to everything they do as a business and will give them a real edge in terms of their profile.
“As we continue to expand our operations across Yorkshire, projects such as this prove our team’s ability to adapt and install according to both design detail and surroundings.”
The John Good Group, established more than 180 years ago, comprises a number of well-established local businesses including John Good Shipping, Trans European Port Services, DAN Shipping and Good Travel Management and now operates from 16 sites across the UK with overseas offices in Turkey and China.
Alan Platt, John Good Shipping’s managing director, said: “Moving into our new high-spec office meant we needed an interior to match the impressive exterior. Ark has done a fantastic job in creating a modern work space that employees can benefit from. They also took into consideration the nature of our business and applied this to the fit-out meaning the modern décor also has relevance to our operations.
“We would certainly recommend Ark Interiors to other organisations that are looking for a high quality work space.”
Bridgehead Business Park has already attracted some leading names, including Beal Homes, the John Good Group, Rofin Sinar as well as Victoria Plumb.
Ark Interiors expects its projects on the business park to be completed in late 2015.
