Leeds’ Communisis posts impressive results after overseas boost
Leeds marketing firm Communisis plc, has reported impressive preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2014.
Turnover is reportedly 27% ahead at £343 million (2013 £270.1 million) and overseas revenues grew by 36% to £66.5 million (2013 £48.9 million) and are now over 19%, close to the Group’s medium-term target of 20%.
Over the year, Communisis has invested over £40 million in the design segment. Exceptional items which cost the company £24.7 million (2013 £3.5 million) were related to restructuring, pension projects and acquisition activity.
Chief executive, Andy Blundell, said: “Communisis has delivered another substantial improvement in adjusted operating profit and an average annual growth rate of 20% over a five year period.
“2014 has been a successful year during which we have built and launched a new digital agency, continued to win important contracts for outsourced customer communication services and expanded rapidly overseas.”
